yesterday was date night with my dear, teck wei <3

my outfit at the start of the day.
    metallic gold tank: supre
blue coat: some random shop in the city. in one of the arcades.
    mustardy yellow jeggings: jay jays
    thigh high studded boots: ebay

everyone seems to think i am wearing a very very short tank dress with yellow tights or yellow stockings. but no..... its a normal length tank with a pair of PANTS! i don't wear short short tank and just tights out.... )): but yet, i am very happy with this look =D

was over in MA at about 2pm? the first thing i was greeted by is the smell of tom yum fried rice lingering around the room.

and i was then offered a plate of fried rice that he cooked (: it was nice tho!

then was just lazed around. watch some series then about 545pm we left to go down to the city for dinner.

    outfit for dinner (((:
    same coat.
chiffon two coloured dress: i.d.s (the shop name) for $10
bib necklace & heart tights: ebay (awesome place for cheap buys!)
flats: taiwan for RM20!! loveeeee them!
all the accessories on hand from lovisa.

we were like really early for our reservation and we were hungry so we went for a quick bite before dinner at lord of the fries. a whole box of fries with french canadian sauce. which is shredded cheese and hot gravy. so sinful but sooo nice!

and coincidentally bumped into yao yun and i made her sit down with us and eat abit before we all move together towards the same direction. she was going home and we were going to bourke street.

dinner was at this restaurant on bourke.

not what i was expecting it to look like. it look more finer dining on the site. thank god i wasn't over dressed. hahaha!

it was from a scoopon deal at $35 dinner for two from aunty D. its one entree, one main, a bowl of rice and a glass of house wine per person.

    spring rolls.

    xiao loong bao.

fried ribs. this was alright but so fatty and teck wei says the batter coating it, is the same as the mamak fried chicken ones. hahaha! which was sorta true. aha

shrimp and corn. it was listed as one of their specialty and had to preorder. but this was what it is! totally not what i expected and not what i saw from the scoopon deal site. but thank god, it tasted alright. but looks super dodgy. haha!

one glass of red and white wine each.

we were sooooo full cause we had lord of the fries earlier and i wasn't expecting the portion cause it looked alot smaller on the deal site. there were some leftover of the shrimp and corn or more like corn leftovers and two pieces of ribs that we couldn't stuff down anymore.

especially the wine, we barely touched it. not nice.... the white was better than the red but still not nice....

but dinner was better than what it looks (: better than the first impression it gave me when i saw everything. and was filling. enjoying too cause dear was with me ((: date night ftw! ♥♥♥

even before dinner started, i was demanding for dessert after dinner. ahaha! tho i was like super full but i really wanted fro-yo from cacao green. cause we passed by it earlier before getting to the restaurant. hehehe

in the end, i was the only one eating cause he was too full.

tho he had a couple of spoons from me. i am suddenly very into frozen yogurts. i find this to be really nice!! and was eating while listening to this street performer performing on bourke street. this guy's voice sound damn nice.

i was totally in the serenading mode at that point. hahah ((:

after that went to coles for a while then took a train and got back to clayton.

dear was into his game and i was watching my series. that was the night for me.

it seems that today is like some important day for Malaysia. but well.. i couldn't care less about whatever that is happening cause it is just plain stupid in my opinion. and that's only my opinion to what it seems like to me. i find it to be unnecessary to create more problem that it already is. the more you provoke, the worse it gets. leave it be, or leave it be under publicly known to everybody, it might have been better.

where as i am spending my saturday staying in, fully utilising the bed and the quilt and have my laptop on me while i lazily stay in bed the whole day.

our lunch today. indomie with egg and cheese on the top ((: yums!

way better than becoming some jokes to other people and shouting into thin air and hoping that it would make a difference to what is happening back home which is like almost 4000 miles away. i understand the support but i find it to be rather attention seeking in some ways. half of the people go for the sake of going and be proper "Malaysians" or just to join in the crowd anyways..

i understand the need to make the country fair and all but really? people have to really go around and make a fool out of everything and get penalise and tear gased and for it being in a foreign country, being laughed by the other people on how little we malaysians are? why make a fool out of ourselves? to some, it maybe being brave and having a stand or what not but well..

its the same feeling when i see people infront of the state library protesting or walking on the streets in a big bunch protesting about god knows what, i find them annoying and a waste of time. thats how the impression it perceives to other people. not everyone but sure half of them think so.

and if there wasn't this rally then there wouldn't be more provocation on how horrible our police officers are or how they whack up someone or anything. yes, there is a need to speak out but why make it to be such a day that people are more scared to go out of the house? i still find this whole thing very unnecessary.

anyhow, its just an honest opinion. meant no harm or to offend anyone :D

judging from a video i just saw on the police car being attacked by the protestors, i find these so called "malaysians" seeking for clean environment and justice is plain bullshit. it is so barbaric. at this point, i am sad to even admit that we are from the same country. people all over the world are laughing at how ridiculous we malaysians are and how little respect we have for our own country. today, is nothing but an embarrassment than doing any good at all. like seriously, what has been accomplished out of today? fights amongst the same people from the same country. our people. a bunch of crap.

i shall now continue my saturday night with a simple dinner and prolly american reunion and some revising on a unit i am doing.

simple dinner like tom yum yee mee =DD

    for now, tata peeps!

i am currently going back old school. i am really into Proud Mary by Creedence Clearwater Revival but the Tina Turner version is my favourite ((:

    lots of love,
    sher xoxo.

  2. on the verge of giving up.

    Thursday, April 26, 2012

i'll make this short and brief. its gonna be really random for this one.

had a funny dream yesterday night which had all of my friends in it. can't really remember what but they were in it. which made me miss everyone so much! ): everyone who is not here in melbourne...

went to uni early in the morning and was done with class by 230pm.

my first instagram photo post. ((:

at that point of time, i was convinced by qihong to start instagram and i was in lectures. sooo yea.. had to take picture of my lecture. haha!

on my way back i finally satisfied my Chatime cravings. heheh! Passionfruit QQ. yumms!

dinner for the past two days had been very early. before 630pm, dinner is done and in my stomach. haha which explains why i just munched down some cracked peppers biscuits with a can of tuna. hehe =D

tomorrow will be over in clayton till monday as usual. and dinner dating with teck wei tomorrow night (: can't wait! even have an outfit picked out for it.

tho it wasn't like plan for and its just from scoopon and given by aunty D, but we hardly go down to the city and eat together just the two of us. so yea.. i is looking forward (((:

i am heading off to bed now. really tired today. today hasn't been the best days. ):

my hair is so long right now.. thinking of curling the bottom when i get back to malaysia. or more like waving it up. buttttt still deciding cause i also love it when its straight..! aiyoyo... haha

love mustardy yellow and turquoisy green <3

  3. smells like couture.

    Tuesday, April 24, 2012

today, was one wet day. the rain lasted almost the whole entire day and the temperature was slightly abover 10 degrees. 11 to be precise. was feeling so reluctant to even leave the house and get to uni cause it was like constant showers out there.

but still picked up my lazy self which was happily hiding under my quilt cause it was warm in there and got ready to face the change of weather outside. it has been a long while since i've felt the cold together with the rain. don't get me wrong, i love love LOVE the cold but i am just not that into the rain that came with it today.

in fact, it'll be a rainy week. my only preparation for rainy days are hooded tops. for today, it was hooded coat.

this was me sitting at Essendon station waiting for the train.

    and my outfit today (:
hooded red coat: taiwan's shilin market which was a steal at RM80. (super thick somemore!)
orange knitted scarf: clear it outlet on brunswick street. this was for $4 HAHA
inner tank: jay jays at $5
    polka dot leggings: uniqlo
thigh high studded boots: ebay at $15

i was very dotted today. love polka dots!! <3

class ended at about 430pm. an hour earlier than scheduled time. and i quickly walked out to glenferrie road to grab my lunch. or more like my first meal of the day.

    it was wet. enough said.

had the $2 McD chicken and cheese! awesome burger at $2! (: nice and cheap. its like a nugget burger only with cheese and mayo. nothing else. awesome right???!

was home by 6pm. had a very early dinner with aunty D before she went out for her meeting. dinner was done before 630pm okay..

with the days being so short now, and the nights coming in so quickly, you'll get hungry earlier.. well sorta good thing i guess. i get to eat my meal early and be healthier in a sense.

me being me, i went up to ferns just an hour or so ago to ask him for some help on retrieving a software for me and then only i found out he got into a minor accident a couple of days ago. fairly thankful he was very much fine but poor car of his.. ): at least, i know fei lin is alright which made me felt so bad for only going to him cause i needed his expertise.

but yet, i ended the conversation with him knowing how awesome of a friend i am. so that's good! HAHAHA!

hmmm... a little show off time. on how great i am at finding bargains. because i really must admit, i am very damn good at it. HAHA!

my first ever owned Juicy Couture item. and i only paid $15 where its retail price is at $260. how awesome is that! =DDDD and i love it! its studded and edgy. abit like a gladiator style. love it and niceeeee! it even comes in a very nice shoe bag. hahahah!

i was so happy when i saw it with aunty D yesterday. at first i thought it was only in a size smaller but turns out, there was one in my size too! ohmygod sho sho happy. its Juicy Couture come on! yet its really comfortable and the height is perfect. high enough to be high but definitely not high enough to be unstable and hurting. awesome buy!

i kept on trying them on every now and then. ahaha still haven't really gotten over the fact that i bought them. tho i have mountains of shoes but..... but.... anyways its mine now (:

wokays.. that's about it for tonight. shall be back soon (:

    sher xoxo.

tomorrow is a public holiday! say yay to sleeping in!!

  4. payphone ♥♥

    Monday, April 23, 2012

    heyyy peeps! =D

back to my own room. the weather is like so cold tonight. first time wearing like fleecy top as pajamas cause its like coldd.. and whenever the cold days comes, i always had to be alone in my own room instead of having to share the bed with my dear and have someone to share the cold with. always always like that.. but anyhow, the weekend went by pretty fruitful for me. haha! fruitful in a way i guess..

dolled up a little bit cause there was a dinner later that night ((:

went down to the city for lunch. cause i was meeting up with cousin's friend. she was going to be in melbourne for like 3 days or so and i was just the tour guide for the day.

brought them to manchester press for lunch. she came with a friend.. so it was just us three (:

i had their salmon bagel. but somehow the spread was abit too much for my liking that day. but still pretty good. hehe

then brought them to DFO South Wharf but we walked to flinders to get the free city circle to bring us down to spencer street and then walked all the way to dfo. as it was their first visit to melbourne, tourist being tourists, pictures had to be taken everywhere. hence the almost one hour journey to dfo from bourke street. haha

while they stopped to take pictures, i took a picture of my favourite part of the city. Southbank.
the weather was good and i absolutely loveeee southbank... <3

my initial outfit of the day. which i love love LOVE!
inner plain black dress: jay jays
outer burgundy chiffon dress: cotton on
    belt: jeanswest
    satchel: valleygirl
    shoes: tony bianco

at first i regretted getting the chiffon dress in burgundy when i was in the gold coast. but now, not regrets at all! i think this is by far my favourite outfit that i've put together for the year. =DDDD

then i walked into dotti and bought a lace crop top and wore it straight.

my outfit looks more feminine in some way. i like the touch the crop lace top gave.
plus it was only $10 (((:

walked over to meat and wine co for jia shen's birthday dinner.

as i said, i love this part of town. so pretty!

it was dinner for 10 that night. to celebrate an early birthday celebration for jia shen. a friend whom i've known dearly for almost 7 years now. especially in the recent 5 years, our friendship was entertaining. and when i say entertaining, it is like the best i could justify our relationship on. haha!

its still the 23rd, so... HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEI JIA SHEN! sorry la okay... i had to not just be fully nice. he'll understand why. hahahah!

anyhooo... the food for the night (:

dear's rib eye. which he so regretted on having it medium well. medium would have been more lovely. but it was still gooood nonetheless..

my monte gold premium cut fillet. at medium rare. and it was goooooddd.. and it cost me a big $49. with the awesome blue cheese and vodka sauce, an additional of $4.

buuuuuttttt it was so niceeee! in my opinion, slightly above the one i had in gold coast but not much of a difference in terms of taste. they were both nice. but meat and wine co is cheaper. plus their chips are so so good! hahah

me and dear shared a sides of chips. which i gladly ate so much eventho i was never a chips person but it was just too good! especially with the sauces. my blue cheese and vodka and dear's creamy garlic. yumssss!

khai shien and jake shared their full rack of ribs.

tai's salmon skewer's presentation was so cool. ahah!

it was a pleasant and lovely dinner. (:

tho it burnt a big fat hole in my pocket but i just had to try it. in terms of their steak. nice food, nice place, nice ambience. one word. nais. hehe

loveeee southbank especially at night! ohmy the lights are so so pretty.

and by that time of the night, my feets hurts so bad cause of my new pair of heels being abit bitey, i had a slow stroll with dear while walking towards flinders. so niceeee (: tho feet pain not nice. haha

reached back to clayton close to 10pm and my feet just gave its way. i had blisters and skin peels and ouch here and there. thanks to the 10 hours of walk on it. i guess just caused its new thats why. it has nothing to do with the height but just the straps being abit stiff still..

went down to the city to meet up with celine for lunch. and it was at seven seeds. my first time there and i had no idea where it is. all i did was walk and walk following the map on my phone. i was suppose to take the tram but elizabeth street were doing road works and there were no tram. so i had to walk ):

i had a cup of soy chai with honey. which was not niceeeee!

and shared two cakes with celine. the brownies were so good! and the other cake was nice too!

but i don't see myself craving to come back again. the coffee is voted the best in melbourne but i don't drink coffee. i only drink chai. and their chai is not nice. i've drank wayy better ones. and their not easy accessible in terms of location. so yea.. won't be coming back anytime soon.

after a catch up over in seven seeds, the both of us went over to yao yun's place and had a little more catch up there. then celine left. and me and yao yun went out for dessert.

at dessert story.. it was yao yun's first visit.

the mango crushed ice something something. they were sold out with the snow ice but this was nice too!

but this.... pudding with taro balls, SUCKS.. MAX! wasted our $5 something cause it was so bad. the only thing good was the balls. the pudding... so so bad... ))):

had quite a long catch up session with yao yun. i quite like how we go out on random food outings sometimes and just sit there and catch up with each other.

even when we were interning, we would do it on fridays. i just love it. plus i think it brings us closer together which is even more lovely (: and to think that she's going back to malaysia soon, it makes me sad a little to see my bestfriend going back and i am here and i won't be having random munchies with. i will miss you dearly LOY...!! hahaha!

after that, she went on back to finish up her assignments and i hopped on a train and went back to clayton. and dinner was out with teck wei, cherly, jia shen and tai at petaling street in clayton town.

my sambal fish. whole fish and a bowl of steamed rice for $12.80. pretty cheap and taste not too bad (:

went to do some grocery shopping and headed back to ma. and called the night. and it was one very very foggy night. i went outside to have a look and it was so so cool!! haha and i forgot to snap a picture )):

i loved my outfit that day too but somehow i just forgot to snap a picture. haha! will pair something similar up again (:

stayed home and just chilled. cooked mee hoon for lunch cause my dearest bf was craving for my mee hoon. apparently it taste very nice to him. HAHAH! cooked in time for him to eat before he headed out to uni for a group meeting and i stayed in watching series and blog hopping. haha

    and it started pouring outside.

and there was a big rainbow after.. (((:

it initially had two... but i was a bit slow on finding the camera app and it went missing. but i was still so happy cause i haven't seen a rainbow in a long long time! it just made me smile like a silly child... hahah!

then i was practically just lazing around the whole time and till about 1145pm? all of us went over to jia shen's house to give him a surprise. which it was sorta successful. he jumped when cherly opened his room door. and thank god he was studying instead of doing something else. hahahah!!

brought over 5 slices of cakes and we just sat and stood there with our forks and just ate. and was there till about 130am?

and i forgot the pictures again! ))): no pictures for the night ))):

woke up at 10am cause my dearest came back from uni and i couldn't sleep back already. cooked him indomee for lunch and left at about 1215pm cause i wanted to skip the rain before it starts pouring badly. the rain is gonna lasts the whole week... ):

after classes i met aunty D in the city cause she had a day off and happened to be in the city to do some stuff and then went window shopping together.

i bought an onigiri from the japanese place in the GPO. the place looks quite nice. might go and try one day (((: i heard about this place for evon. haha

its more expensive than the usual sushi takeaways cause their seaweed it sorta packed separately so its more fresher and crunchier. this was $3.10

both of us got back home at about 5pm after our window shopping and went out for dinner at chef lagenda in newmarket.

my claypot yee mee with king prawns and spicy egg gravy with vegies.

    dinner was aunty D's treat.

came back and watched the voice and organized my room a little bit. now, i am prepared to go to bed anytime soon. haha

its chilly and so nice to sleep under the quilt right now. haha!

    goodnight peopleeeee!

love my cover photo on facebook. ♥♥
so many pictures of us that i really loved are mostly credits to yao yun. this is no exception. love this!

    much love,
