    Helloooooo!

I just finished watching The Voice Australia on TV and I'll be moving onto The Voice USA once I am done with some Italian homework.

The OZ one has Seal, Joel Madden, Delta Goodrem and the new comer, Ricky Martin! Come on... Ricky Martin..., that's not fair! He practically went off the radar for a long time and he still looks as attractive as ever andd he is such a nice person cause the words he says to the singers are genuinely complimenting. Where as the US one has ADAM LEVINE(♥!!), Blake Shelton and two more new comers. Shakira and Usher. And seriously I prefer these combination of judges wayyyyy better! Everyone is so nice and funny and the relationship between blake shelton and adam levine is so so funny!

The judges on both shows are so nice and kind and genuine. I totally totally LOVE The Voice especially the US one for obvious reasons!!! Obvious reasons like Adam Levine, Adam Levine and Adam Levine... :)))) And adam gives hugs to people on the show all the time whether is it they got onto his team or just mere comfort hugs for people who have talent but didn't make it. It is to tell them never to give up, try harder and then come back. Seeeeeee he is so sweeeeeeeet!! :D

I am a fan of the voice simply because I prefer the concept of the show rather than the normal auditioned ones. This way, you truly only hear the singer's voice and won't judge based on the sappy stories they have and tell you. If one is an extraordinary singer, it'll be heard and they will get in just solely because of their voice.

Was just talking to mum not long ago and she is still in the US. In New York City. Staying only a couple blocks away from Times Square!! I so want to be there leh... Now, NYC in my mind is imagined from all the pictures and shows and movies I've seen. I can't wait for it to not be imagined but to be witnessed with my own eyes and have those scenes and every tiny detail be seen and felt by me and then be hard wired into my brain and to be labelled, "New York City through my eyes."

Mum will be leaving in two days and will be heading back to Malaysia with all these gifts. Lots and lots of gifts. Mainly for this precious daughter of hers :P Like seriously... Almost everything(the affordable priced ones) I have asked for and listed down for her, she bought them for me. I have THE BEST MOM in the world. Truly and genuinely thankful and blessed for having my mum preciously love me so much!!! Unconditional love ♥♥♥

I am not entirely sure of the full list of items I have yet but I can assure you, it is A LOT! Gifts and shopping always makes a girl happy whether you're the one shopping for it or not. Well... if you're the one shopping for it, it would be happier la but still... :D

Speaking of gifts... I finally bought the boyfriend's birthday present. The gift is a month and a half late. Because it is something that was thought of thoroughly before getting and.. at least he really likes it!

A Razer gaming mousepad. Gamers and their gaming gadgets.

My pro gamer boyfriend. He'll always be The Pro to me

Next... moving onto my gifts to myself. HAHA! I have slowly been collecting all the Moustache items. And this is my little collection :)

    Artsy rightt? :P

Love them! Black and gold is one of the most awesome colour combo ever!

Other than these, I have earrings and rings and necklace as well :P HEHEHE! I dont know why I like it so much but I think that they are cute leh.. and yet don't look kiddish.

And of course I love the pictures my cammie takes! I just discovered something called a Wi-Fi SD Memory Card. I can't believe how I have never heard of them! They are like god sent at this era man... It will solve all my problems of not having the pictures from my cammie instantly transferred to my phone over wi-fi!! Well.. all these while I have been taking the trouble to transfer the pictures through a memory card adapter into my iPad and then post it up from there.

But now... with this Wi-Fi SD card, I don't even have to take the memory card out and it could be transferred to my iPhone straight away!! I checked the price of it and altho it is tad bit on the expensive side, but I am seriously considering on getting it leh... Then I wouldn't have to take pictures on my cammie and then take pictures with my iPhone to instagram. I wouldn't have to do the capturing twice anymore!!

Won't have to be somewhat like the girlfriend in the #AsiansAtWork video on how she stops the boyfriend from eating first cause needa take picture of the food when it arrives. Which I will ALWAYS stop him HAHA! I mean I would still take but at least with this card, I'll make him wait for me to take it with only one device :PP HEHEHEHE! But hor... I was also considering of getting the fujifilm polaroid camera leh.. Aiyo what is this lahhhh... No cannot, one thing at a time. The polaroid will have to wait!! But but.. they have this really really nice baby blue colour leh.... I can't resist any baby blue gadgets one leh.. In fact I can't resist any blue gadget at all..! ))): AIHHH....

That's it for now! Time for Italian :) Ciao!

    love,
    shereena.

  2. Food from home. Recreated.

    Monday, April 08, 2013

I am now craving for my own cooked claypot chicken rice. It was so gooooooood! To me it was really good lah and I think(?) the boyfriend likes it too but I am not sure how it would be to the taste buds of others. Maybe I should cook it when I am back in Malaysia and see what are the reactions of the family members back at home :)

I ate close to 4 plates. In one night. Nuff said on how much I loved it!!

It even had the burnt crunchy bits at the bottom and I absolutely lovee munching on those. I still have half a packet of those sausages lying in the fridge. Maybe I should make another batch soon :DD It was seriously so yums leh... :)

Recipe credits to here. I tweaked it a little and here and there but generally, it is a good guide.

    xoxo, sher.

    Ello!

I am so glad to be having this one week of break altho it is already coming to an end... I am practically doing nothing much but eat and sleep and online and spending some money. Going out for food is when my money evaporates. I've picked up the eating lifestyle of a somewhat rich person. Seriously.... brunches cost easily $18 in that one meal.

Trying to cut down on going out for food. Either once a week on weekends or maybe two weeks once. But I tell you... my cravings aren't helping at all. From now on, have to kiam abit already if I want to spend the allowance equally on food and shopping and basic surviving in Melbourne. Food indulging all the time maybe very satisfying and makes my tummy happy, but... it also makes the digits on the weighing scale shoot up )): How nice is it to eat and eat all these good food and never have to gain any weight... Hrrrr not happening =/

Despite all that have been said, my past weekend involved so much food that made me feel so guilty when I lie down in bed to sleep with a full tummy. My god... HEHE

Friday night's dinner was me cooking fried rice. Same ingredients and same style used to cook my signature mee hoon but this time I used rice instead. Fried rice keeps me going for so many plates and meals.

Spent the whole of Saturday staying in with the boyfriend watching multiple episodes of Runningman.

And also indulging in three boxes of pizzas for the both of us. Yeap.. THREE boxes!! :D Yummy pizzas! Love dominos here... you can customize your own pizzas! Take out whatever ingredient you don't like and add with whatever you want! :DD And super duper love thier cheezy crust! So YUMSS!!

And Sunday, made plans for brunch @ Mart 130. Went with the boyfriend, qian hui and her boyfriend, joe jin.

It has been awhile since I ate at Mart and I still love it as it is! The environment is really nice and the people are friendly plus the food is good! What's there not to love when everything on the checklist of a good brunch spot is ticked off.

Joe jin and qian hui shared the Corn fritters with smoked salmon, capers, beetroot relish and sour cream.

The boyfriend ordered their special menu of the day, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, beetroot and asparagus on toast.

I ordered the famous Mart Corn Fritters with bacon, homemade relish and sauce, and sour cream. OMG SUPER YUMS! It was so filling and I enjoyed my food thoroughly!

It is said that "a good brunch feeds not only the tummy but also feeds the soul." True indeed.

After the good meal, we headed for dessert. And since qian hui and her bf are leaving mid april to NZ, I might as well bring them for some good cakes on the same day as there aren't that much time left for them to go out exploring by themselves.

And good cakes would either involve Le Petit Gateau or Chez Dre and in this case, Le Petit Gateau doesn't open on weekends andddd we were super nearby Chez Dre so Chez Dre it was!

I personally haven't been a huge fan of cakes until I got to Melbourne and went cray cray with Greco's mudcake and cheesecakes. Then I've learnt that there is a better patisserie in the city but it is only open on weekdays, Le Petit Gateau, for their brownie and passionfruit chocolate gateau. It is to die for. And then, I discovered Chez Dre, a patisserie/boulangerie/brunch eatery at South Melbourne.

And boy, they really do have a brilliant set of cakes and macarons selection!! Everything looks freaking delicious! Right right?

There was a long line waiting to be seated at Chez Dre and we were just there for their cakes so we decided to take away the cakes and have it over at DFO South Wharf as it was going to be our next location. For shopping :)

We took away this Chocolate with acadamia and mandarin orange cake and another blueberry cheesecake.

Went shopping @ DFO till like 5 something. Walked the whole round at DFO and came out with two items; one $5 snood and a $2 daisy belt. I iz happy with cheap buys altho there isn't like a 'need' but just that it was cheaaaaap :P

Dinner that night was us tapaoing Hungry Jacks. Joe Jin was telling me and the bf about the hungry jacks app and that there are always deals on it and all you gotta do is just check in. Downloaded it and tried it for the time and guess what?!! I GOT THE BEST DEAL EVER ON THE APP!! I think it is the best lah? 50% off the order under $30!! OMG so cheap laaaaa! First time trying the app and we were so lucky! Me and the bf ordered 4 burgers and mind I add, yummy yummy and filling burgers for $13.40 only!!! SO SO CHEAP! I am definitely gonna try out that app more often!

On top of our two burgers each for dinner, we also tapaoed a whole roast chicken from Red Rooster as well. Our dinner was super damn huge and heavy but only at $26 for it :DD I tell you... I think I've been putting on weight like crazy from the rate I am consuming my food. The two of us are like mega eater kind of couple man. We eat and eat and eat and get like super damn full andddddd we both love our foodieees! How to not gain weight?!?!!

I was somemore on a target to get back to my ideal weight(which I succeeded, the weight I was at just when I got back to Malaysia)... now leh..., I see the target slowly evaporating into thin air and on the other side I get these unhappy figures on the weighing scale.. ))): Need to be discipline again and get back on the targeted track!! NEED AND MUST!

Despite me saying that, whatever I am gonna write and post about now is still all about food... Sinful yet super damn yummy FOOOOD! Aih NVM... back on track after holidays end. Which is next week :P

Since sunday night's dinner was super heavy, I just lazed around the bf's room the whole of Monday and just ate simple simple food. Not by choice because he ran out of anything proper to eat because the both of us has been very lazy to go out and get groceries. Walking 10 minutes to the bus loop and taking a 10 minutes bus ride to Clayton town for groceries is very the farrrrrrr :PP Dinner was just tom yum yeemee with egg.

After being bored of staying in on monday, I made plans to meet up with Wei Ping for lunch on Tuesday. I wanted to have bagels and she has never been to this place sooo... Carnegie's Huff Bagelry it was! So me and the bf went to Carnegie to meet up with her :)

Wei ping ordered the #2 in a plain bagel which has ham, beetroot, onions, lettuce, cheese and tomatoes.

Dear ordered #3 with The Lot bagel that has chicken aioli, avocado and lettuce.

I ordered their Autumn Brekky with The Lot bagel. It has loads of ham which is so awesome, egg mayo, beetroot and cheese and it was sooo gooooood! I am so gonna come back alot more times!

Went grocery shopping after brunch and then splited ways with the bf, he went home with the groceries where as me and ping went to Chadstone for shopping!

It was purely window shopping for me because I am feeling guilty for spending somemore on clothes and stuffs. Mummy dearest is already buying me lots of things from the US and so... to compensate all these not very cheap things that I asked her to buy, I have to cut down on shopping here. MUST!

But I am glad that wei ping had fun shopping as the dresses she bought were so pretty! IF it was cheaper I think I would have gotten it too :X $40 is way way wayyyy out of my budget.. But they were really pretty!

Parted ways with her about 530pm. She went back into the city and I went back to the boyfriend's.

I am so going to miss her!! ))): She's leaving back to Malaysia end of this month already.. sob sob.. AIHH..

My outfit for the day :D WHEE to my $2 Dasiy belt!! <3
Blue chiffon long top: Cotton On
Inner plain black tank dress: Temt
    Daisy belt: Dotti
    Suede boots: Siren
    Bag: Dangerfield

Cooked asam seafood and simple stri fried veggies for dinner that night :)

Wednesday and Thursday was just staying in with more sleeping and pure lazing. Dinner was simple and surprisingly I didn't document anything in those two days on instagram.

Apart from this Throwback Thursday picture taken a year ago in Gold Coast's Wet N Wild with the bestie, Yao yun <3 I miss our traveling times! I should totally get the girls to go for a getaway when I get back!

Today, I was suppose to meet up with Audrey and Wei Ping for brunch but had a sudden change of plans and I ended up being home the whole day sleeping and sleeping and series-ing. OMG this whole week I was a total pig man...... All I did was just being lazy and did nothing. Did nothing yet took me a week to update on this post. Procrastination at its best and so so not good!! I took the word holiday literally man.

Cooked curry chicken and stir fried veggies in oyster sauce again. HEHE comfort food and my tummy iz happy!

Doubt I will be going anywhere tomorrow. Doesn't seem like there is an update of plans. Maybe I'll go out with the boyfie to buy his long overdue birthday present and also settle his phone plan stuffs.

    Till next time!

Ending this post with the self shots I took that I super like! Simply cause I love my makeup that day! :DD I hardly ever put on any make up most of the time. Finally found the perfect eyeliner! Cheat one* I reduced my eyebags by alot HEHEHE :P Aiyo if no eyebags how good lehh... I have double somemore! ))):

    With love,
    sher xoxo.

  4. Rockstars do it!

    Friday, March 29, 2013

    Hellooooo!

Just started my one week holiday, yesterday! Woohoooo!! :DDD So glad to be having a break from uni. The only subject I've been enjoying is Italian where as the rest are the typical engineering subjects and its no fun at all. I blame myself for choosing this course at the beginning.. I am so not enjoying what I am doing. Seriously... =/

Aiya before I get all emo about my course.., happy thoughts.. happy thoughts!!

Since my holiday started yesterday, I would normally head over to the boyfriend's place straight but because I made shopping plans with aunty D, I postponed my visit to the bf's to today. HEHE shopping was more important in this case :P I see him every weekend anyways... seeing him one day later wouldn't make much of a difference considering I'll be here till next Sunday :D

Went shopping at highpoint shopping centre as they have a new development area with lots more shops and it looks really nice! Reminds me of chaddy and westfield doncaster combined. Looks classy and new and poshy! Totally different from how the old development looks like.

Basically it was more like exploring the new area and just window shopping. Topshop here is so expensive... =/ and Zara too.. ): Any brand with an average of $60 per piece is expensive to me.. I do admit I shop quite a fair bit sometimes, but at least in my defence, I rarely ever spend more $20 per item.. Ever. Unless absolutely necessary. Which is a good thing! *self proclaimed i know :P*

Had dinner @ highpoint's food court. It's laksa from laksa king! I reckon it is the best laksa in melbourne (:

Got back home slightly after 9pm and spent the rest of last night clearing up my room and facetiming with my mum.

Mum is on her way to the United States right now and so, yesterday night I was going through the shopping list I had for her. I have TOO MANY things that I want her to get! :D Especially a kate spade bag and anything from New York. If it was humanly possible, I would have asked her to bring back the whole New York City back for me.. )): I am like super jelly that she's going to spend at least 4 days there! I was suppose to tag along one lor... but the timing wasn't right.. )): SO SO SAD!!

One day, I tell you..., one day I WILL DEFINITELY GO TO NYC!!!! My ultimate dream and wish!!

Lets hope that mummy dearest will bring back tonnes of things for meeeee :P When it come to the states, I will get all excited for no reason one.. HEHE

Okok.. back to my shopping @ highpoint. I thought I wouldn't be buying anything but turns out who am I kidding lah.. Come on... I am me, and since when I will forgo bargains.. :|

Bought this maroon ribbed box pleat skater skirt from valleygirl for $10 :DD Love 'em!!

And these black spikey heels. Omg so nice and its only $10 and I couldn't resist! Comfy or not doesn't matter. Wear once or on short trips I also happy already! :P

My two buyings for myself and also bought a top for mum (: Not bad lah hor? I only spent $25 and another $5 on macarons :DD

My maxi dress from eBay for $11 include postage ((: So pretty! Pastel colours all over!! A tad bit too long so I gotta wait till I get back to Malaysia and have it altered. Alteration here very expensive leh.. But pretty hor this dress?!? Super love it!

Girls are always happy when it comes to buying things!

I don't know why but when I am in Malaysia for hols right.., I tend to not shop so much one leh.. Maybe because the price on the items seems so expensive because the figure is big. Here, I am always attracted to the $5, $10, $15 pricing and also the "take a further ..% off reduced price" tag. I always fall for it! Malaysia where got such thing.. unless you go to like wholesale places where you can still get clothes at RM10.

Hmm.. I am somewhat missing home abit. Hearing about all these deaths scares the shit out of me. Three pedestrian got buried by a huge brick wall collapsing due to the crazy melbourne wind yesterday. Two dead and one still critical and it scares me. Knowing that no one could predict whats coming your way next. Especially when I have my grandmother and grandfather to think about. Of course I would want them to live as long as ever but it'll never be possible.. =/ It is making me have this thought and need to wanna spend more time with my family as much as I could..

And also missing the bunch of friends!
The pose was an inside joke :P

I don't think I'll ever be able to find a greater bunch of people ever. I may find some that would be as great but I don't think would be any greater. So glad to have them through high school with me and to form these silent bonds between all of us. Everytime without fail, when I head home, these are the people I turn to. This picture may not have all of them in it, but they should know who they are. They are for life!

    And these girls..

A friendship that would go a lifetime. For sure. Genuine and loving.

I miss having girl sessions. I miss having Yao Yun in melbourne! Never missed anyone who went back so much.. How I usually just randomly call her or text her asking if she is free and that we could hang out. Mostly for food but food comforts me and so does she. I just miss having her within reach.. And Steph for always being there don't matter how little we talk to each other. It is almost like a silent thing that we have but also know that it is always there. And Jo, to knowing that I could always depend on her for saying the right thing and pointing me to the right path. I miss everything about them!

How I'd wish we were still the bunch of teenagers that didn't have to worry much about work and life. Without all these "grown up" stuff, we would be able to just sit there and do absolutely nothing the whole day and don't have to worry about who finishes work first or who could take leave or when is the best time to meet or not able to stay late due to work the next day or even worst, not meeting up at all cause there is work the next day or working in a different country... ): Aih.. I really miss them.. =/

I am almost close to having zero girl session here already. One by one everyone is leaving melbourne and leaving me here.. alone. Okla, not alone but figuratively. Yes I do have the bf, but I don't know... sometimes I just need someone other than the bf you know.. to talk about things that are more appropriate to share it with other than the bf =/

Yes.. I am getting emo-ed up a bit.. ): Time flies and everyone has gotta move on with life and as much as I hate to admit it, this is life. You won't always have these people in your life all the time because.. they have to go and live theirs too. LIFE. ...hmmm.. =|

Till next time! Hopefully I'll have a great holiday week and then, I'll be back to talk about it!

    Love,
    Shereena.
