    Ellooooo :)

I have been hearing about this restaurant multiple times let it be the one here in Melbourne, or the one in Singapore or the one in One Utama. Mainly from social media platforms and the girlfriend in Singapore. And it is a French cafe with a Japanese twist to it! All the more reason to go! Sounded so interesting :P

So..., a couple of months back I decided to give it a try! After all, it is only at Chaddy and it is like a 20 minutes bus ride from Clayton. And it was specially on a day that was worth celebrating cause the boyfriend got through some tough time with his uni stuff!

Went over with another friend since she hasn't tried it before either. I must say, I was pretty excited from the things I've heard about the place :)

Started with some drinks. I can't remember what the strawberry drink was already :D And Janelle ordered their Hot Matcha Latte.

Janelle ordered their Carbonara. It may looked like any other ordinary carbonara but it tasted different. Good different. It had this smoky taste to the sauce. I quite liked it eventho I only had a tiny taste of it :)

The boyfriend ordered their Riz Au Curry. Baked rice with Japanese curry, sausages, cheese and an egg :) And it was really yummyyyyy!!

I ordered their Souffle de Nuage. Basically it is this whole mountain of fluffy egg white (which is the souffle part) and the bottom is a tomatoey cheesy baked rice with mushrooms and some meat? It was something totally interesting! Tasted gooood too :D

Dessert was suppose to be a molteny chocolate cake for $10! It was tiny and not molteny at all! Expensive and not up to par.... :(

Those were all the things we ordered on my first visit there!

And a couple of weeks back I went back again with the boyfriend and his family when they came to visit. We ladies just happened to be in Chaddy doing some shopping and the boyfriend came over to join us for dinner.

Miam Miam just happens to be the only proper restaurant unless we go for PappaRich which no Malaysians want when they are over here for holidays :D

This time I ordered their Riz Noir Seafood Rice. Basically it's squid ink seafood rice topped with a japanese styled egg (omu). It was really tasty!! The seafood were fresh too and I absolutely love omus! The japanese styled eggs are always super nice!

Overall, Miam Miam has really yummy food in general. I still have not tried their famous french toast and souffles but I have heard good things about them.

On the downside, the portion is really small for the price you pay. On average a dish would be around $20 and for that price I would really want to be served with a more bigger portion lor...

I guess it is one of those place that when I do really crave for it only I'll go. Because the boyfriend would always need to go for a second round after having dinner here just cause the portion isn't right for him. For girls, it would be fine but I think it isn't enough for the guys.

But I really do wanna try their french toast and souffles lor! One day!

  2. HELLOOOOO!!

    ☺︎

Sorry for neglecting this space for the past 7 weeks! But now, I am back! :D

I am trying to get my blog more organised! I am always taking all these pictures of food and places that is always with the intentions of someday having them up on my blog but I never sit down and type up a post anymore.

I am always either on YouTube or series(sssss) or uni work and I couldn't be bothered to blog anymore. SOOOOO, now I trying to get more organised and type up food reviews as and when I can and schedule the posts to go up for the next few days.

Food reviews of single restaurants are much better and easier and shorter to write up than my usual routine of writing up the week's worth of updates anyways. I hope this way I'll get more posts come up as time goes.

It is sad to see my favourite space being neglected just cause I don't have the time or patience to type up long posts anymore..... :(

So from now, expect to see more and more food reviews! In fact my next scheduled post for tomorrow is a food review :P

I am still a huge FOODIE and still take tonnes of pictures of food every single time I go out or eat anything for that matter. I figured that these pictures should be up for good use and published to let people drool over them :D HEHEHE

I hope this will get me motivated to do my routine weekly blog posts again! Seeing my weekly routine posts go live used to be one of my most favourite moments...

I'll try to be back as much as I can. This time I really do mean it!

Am trying to compose up my Perth's trip post. And maybe Vietnam? (Oh wait, I better not get too over my head) But...... Perth's post will definitely come up!

    Till then,

    Lots of love,
    sher xoxo.

  3. BBQ Party!

    Sunday, August 31, 2014

    Ellloooooooo!

First of all, Selamat Merdeka Malaysia!!! Happy Independence Day to my home country!!! Malaysia will always be home to me :)

OMG it literally has been ages since I last blogged! I think the blogger spirit in me has died down, sadly. It's not that I don't take pictures for my blog anymore, I still do and I take tonnes of them!!! But somehow I just never got around to typing my day down and attaching the pictures altogether. I am sad about it tho, abandoning MY space but YouTube and series and movies has really took over the blogging spirit out of me :X

Anyways, I'll try to be back as and when I feel like it OKAYS!

I just have so much to blog about my trip home this time tho...... =/ We shall get to one thing at a time I suppose..

So....., as the title says, a BBQ party happened about 3 days after my birthday :) It was with the friends and we wanted a little get together plus it was a public holiday. So, everything matched up!

All I did was show up, brought over some ice, eat, take pictures, laughed so so much, saying how awesome the food were and then paid to whomever I should for the food. HAHAHA! Literally zero preparing and cooking :P

    The good friends!

Loong and En Lin did the preparing and cooking whilst the rest of us had a chillax time. Talking and snapping pictures and do what we do best, "chui sui" :D

Stephy! And my ombre-ish hair! :P

*THE FOOD!! AND IT WAS GOOOOOOOOOOOODD!!*
OMG I just love Wei Jun's Leica 25mm f/1.4 lens so so much!! Look at the pictures it produces!!! The whole night all the pictures are taken with his lens and my camera body. Look at this! It just makes the food looks ten times better! I want one too!! T.T

*The highlight of the food of the night were these three plates of salmon sashimi from Top Catch Fisheries! SO GOOD plus such affordable prices. Thanks to ferns who went there early purposely to get these for us!!! :P *
I want some right nao! Thick cuts of yummylicious sashimi! My favourite! T.T

Most of us were there pretty early but some came late too. So the sashimi were saved until everyone was here before we indulged in them :)

The boys had rounds of FIFA in jun's room while the girls watched while being on their phones for most of the time :D Because as we girls already know, whenever in Wei Jun's house, it will always always mean FIFA.

After we were all done with the food and the games, we went to hang out out of the house! More like they wanted to dispose to the charcoal and I just went around snapping pictures and then ended up on the swing because I have not been on one in ages!

Reliving our high school padang days! Been through so much with this girl right here!

And as you can see at the back, the houses around jun's place are mostly empty so we had the place all to ourselves (as tho it would be filled at 1030 at night :P) and we could make as much noise as we wanted to! The perks, but it can get a tad bit too quiet if you're not out there with a bunch...

The girls for the night! Had to fade out the colours of this picture so much because the initial colour was too yellow for to salvage when I was editing it..

Before we left, we had to take a group-ie together first!

The outcome! :D What would life be without all of them (wished a few more could make it that night).... So thankful to have them all in my life :)

*My favourite pictures of the night!*
    No caption needed ♥︎

    And that concluded the night!

It was a really good night and such a fun get together! We always have things like this whenever I am back for holidays! So grateful for that man :)

Anddddddddd...., I guess that's it for now!

I still have SO MUCH to blog about! Be back whenever I can!

    Lots of love,
    Shereena.

  4. 23rd Birthday ♥︎

    Friday, July 25, 2014

    Helloooooo!

I have been back to Malaysia for slightly almost two weeks now and all I have been doing is getting busy. I have things to do everyday and barely have much me time. Whenever I do have time to sit down alone, I'll try my bestest to skype with the boyfriend and catch up with one and another. Feels weird not being able to see him all day everyday after spending almost 3 weeks together day and night.

As much as I love blogging, I let procrastination get the better of me. I take tonnes and tonnes of pictures but these pictures barely goes up anywhere. Some pictures I take it for instagram's purpose but most of it, it is for my blog but I just somehow never get around to ever publishing on my blog. Sad thing. I know, but never change.... -.-

Anyways, I am back to blog about my birthday! As years goes by, as I get older, I don't see my birthday as though it is something huge anymore. All I want is to celebrate it with people who makes my life, my life. Ironically tho, for the 3 and a half years being together with the boyfriend, I have only celebrated my birthday with him in our first year together. The rest of the years I am always back in Malaysia and celebrating it with my family and friends who are here.

It's not that I don't want to celebrate with him but it just happens to be that every year I am back for holidays and he isn't. So that's a bummer... But at least I do feel loved by him regardless of the distance between us ♥︎ Not material wise but emotionally.

So..., how was the birthday like for me?

At midnight, the boyfriend was the first to wish me Happy Birthday! Meloveandmisshimlots..!!

And then, the day properly started with me getting dressed up. Obviously :D It was because I was going to attend a free beauty workshop in Sephora KLCC and mum kindly drove me there and waited for me for an hour plus whilst I was at the workshop.

Of course we reached early because we are just punctual like that :P And so, me and mum started off with some breakfast. And when in KLCC, it means Coffee & Spice's curry puff. Definitely. Of course!

Otak otak curry puff!! SO GOOD! Plus kuih koci and kuih bingka! My favourites!!

Then I went off to the Sephora Eyeko Workshop thing while mum went shopping on her own. HEHEHE

The products we get to play with! Awesome right!!! It was free so it is all the more awesome!

Eyeko's ambassador, Alexa Chung in the video.

Celebrity makeup artist, Sheng Saw teaching us how to draw a quick and easy and perfect winged liner using the Eyeko eye do liquid eyeliner!

Basically the workshop was all about how to draw a winged liner. Sheng was really patient at teaching us girls on how to get the perfect look! We draw it on ourselves first and he'll see if it is okay and what else is there to improve. I drew on my regular winged liner that I wear everyday and Sheng said it was good but in photographs it won't be able to be seen and I can make it more dramatic because my eyelid has a lot of room for me to draw more.

So Sheng went on and drew a super dramatic cat eye on my right eye and then I had to replicate it on my left eye. It was seriously the most dramatic liner I have ever had drawn on my eye! I briefly mentioned that it was my birthday and Sheng was saying, it is my birthday so I can get away with having dramatic look on my face! HAHA! :P

That's Nina from Eyeko, Sheng at the back and the girl on the far right is my sharing mirror partner for that hour and a half. I didn't catch her name...

Sheng! Talented and super friendly! Thanks for giving me an extra oomph for my birthday! Although the liner doesn't seem super dramatic, but trust me, in person it was! Dramatic in a good way :) Such a pleasure to be able to meet new and nice people! Thank you to Sephora Malaysia for the awesome workshop!! :D

I am definitely going to attend more of these workshop whenever I could! Not only it was FOC, it was also super educating anddddd we were given a full size of the Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner! So nice, so cool and so fun!

    My OOTD!
    Necklace: Lovisa
    Cami: Asos
    Leggings: Zara
    Wedges: Zara
    Bag: Kate Spade Stevie Bag

My look after the workshop! Sheng accentuated my cheek bones with a whole lot of bronzer! I told him I was going out for a nice dinner with the family so he purposely did that and said, by the time it gets to dinner, it'll be more natural :) ANDD I LOVE MY HAIR! LOOK AT THE COLOUR! OMG SO PRETTY LEHH THE COLOURS! ALL OF MY FAVOURITE COLOURS EVER! And from the picture on the left with the filter, I kinda wanna dye my whole hair reddy brown.. But then again, I love my black hair :D HEHE

After that mum dropped me off at Garage 51 because I am meeting Yao Yun for a catch up over coffee :)

    YY <3

    Mochatella and Oreo Cheesecake :)

After tea, YY fetched me home and I quickly got ready to head out for dinner with the family.

OOTN! All I did was change and did nothing else cause my look was already complete haha! :)
    Playsuit: Topshop
    Necklace: Dotti
    Belt: Asos
    Nude heels: Wittner

Dinner was @ Oasis Boulevard. My first time there! It looks pretty at night!

And to be exact, dinner was @ Crazy Crabs! Cousin happened to somewhat know the boss so it was relatively easy for us to get a table and stuff. Where as there was like this hugeeee crowd outside waiting to get a table and it was like crazy alot of people man!

    * THE FOOD *
Two different style of crabs. Buttermilk and kam heong.

A very very nice plate of lamb and a not very nice plate of satay haha!

Vege for the night :) Thai style tofu and vege with fish fillet.

Siong tong lala, curry fish head and fried rice.

Death by Chocolate cake from Just Heavenly :)

A year older and hopefully wiser? :P

Mummy dearest ♥︎ Thank you for everything you've done and given me. Love you always.

Overall, the food was not too bad. But it was really pricey.. Nonetheless, as long as the food was somewhat good and the company was great, it is still an awesome birthday dinner! Thank you so much to mummy dearest for organizing and treating all of us!

My gifts from the night. As usual, when it comes to Chinese relatives, you'll get money rather than physical gifts. HAHA! But I ain't complaining, with these, I can pick up items in my wishlist! And it'll be from them all :)

After dinner, I went out for yumcha with the bunch. My birthday ended with a yumcha session filled with weird ass jokes and catchups with good friends :)

All in all, it was a good birthday! Feeling warm to be home but at the same time feeling a little tiny bit cold without the boyfriend.... haha

    Anyways, that's all for now!

This should be my ending tagline, "I'll be back whenever I can! Soon.....? :D"

    Lots of love,
    Shereena.
